Privacy Policy
- We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, photos or microphone.
- Your game progress is stored on your device. If you sign in to your platform's game service, a copy is kept in your own account there.
- The app shows ads from Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier.
- Purchases are handled by the app store. We never see your payment details.
1. Who we are
Unlock Me: Brain Puzzle ("the app") is a puzzle game made by Chayan Mistry ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. It applies to every version of the app, on any platform where it is offered.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves the following on your device so the game can remember where you are:
- Stars earned and levels unlocked
- Hints, undos and stars you have left
- Settings such as sound, vibration and the chosen theme
- Items you have bought, so they keep working
This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. If you have turned on your device's own backup, the operating system may include it in that backup to your account.
3. Game service: cloud save and leaderboard (optional)
You can sign in with your platform's game service (for example, Google Play Games) to save your progress to your account and to appear on the leaderboard. If you do:
- Cloud save. Your stars, unlocked levels, and hint, undo and star counts are stored in your account with that service. Settings and purchases are not included.
- Leaderboard. Your total star count is submitted together with your profile name and picture from that service. Who can see them depends on your profile visibility settings there.
The game service is run by the platform provider and handles this data under its own privacy policy, such as the Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive your email address or keep a copy of your saved game on any server of ours.
4. Advertising
The app is free and shows ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). Most ads are videos you choose to watch for a reward, such as a free hint or a level skip. The app may also show an ad between levels and a small ad in some dialogs.
To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
- Your device's advertising identifier, where your device allows it
- Device information, such as model, operating system and language
- Your IP address, used to estimate your general location (country or city)
- How you interact with ads, and diagnostic information about ad loading and crashes
This data is collected and used by Google, which may use it to personalise ads, measure ad performance and prevent fraud. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where the law or your device requires it, the app asks for your permission before personalised ads are shown or before your advertising identifier is used for tracking. You can change your choice later.
Your choices
- Limit ad tracking, opt out of personalised ads, or reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device's privacy or ads settings.
- Buy "Remove Ads" in the shop to turn off the ads between levels and in dialogs. Optional reward videos stay available, because you choose to watch them.
5. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by the app store you downloaded the app from. The store handles your payment details; we never receive them. The app receives a confirmation of each purchase so it can give you what you bought and restore it later. The store's own privacy policy covers how it handles payments.
6. Device access
The app uses:
- Vibration, for gentle feedback when blocks land. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Internet access, used by ads, purchases and the game service.
The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.
7. Summary of data
| Data | Who handles it | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and settings | Your device | Running the game |
| Saved game and leaderboard score | Your platform's game service, only if you sign in | Cloud save, leaderboard |
| Advertising identifier, device info, IP address, ad interactions | Google AdMob | Showing and measuring ads |

We do not sell your personal information. All data sent by the app travels over encrypted connections.
8. Keeping and deleting your data
- On your device: use Settings → Reset progress in the app, or uninstall the app. Reset progress also replaces your cloud save with the cleared progress. Purchases are kept, so you do not lose what you paid for.
- Game service: you can delete the game's saved data and your profile in that service's settings or your account settings with the provider.
- Advertising data: reset or delete your advertising identifier as described above. Data held by Google is kept under Google's own retention rules.
If you want help, email us and we will tell you how.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
If the app starts using information in a new way, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
